The likes of Henry Ford( Ford Automobile), Ted Turner(CNN), Bill Gates(Microsoft), Warren Buffet(Berkshire Hathaway), Ray Kroc(McDonald Franchising), Mike Adenuga(Glo Telecommunication), Aliko Dangote( Dangote Groups) and others are great entrepreneurs that their names are imprinted on the sand of time.
An entrepreneur is a person who undertakes innovations, finance and business acumen in an effort to transform innovations into economic goods. An entrepreneur can also be said to be someone who organizes, manage and assumes the risks of a business or enterprise.
HOW TO BEGIN THE ENTREPRENEURIAL RACE.
1. You need a reason greater than reality. It's your unshaking conviction that keeps you going even if the going tough.
2. You should have a strong and convincing mission statement. Make your mission statement strong and uncompromisable.
3. Invest in financial education. Read entrepreneurial and financial books and journals. At a point in my developmental stage as an entrepreneur I decided buying at least two entrepreneurial books per month. This helped me a lot in tapping from the wealth of experience of world classed entrepreneurs. I recommend to you books like 'Think and Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hill, 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' by Robert Kiyosaki, 'Talent is not Enough' by John .C. Maxwel and some others.
4. Choose your friends wisely. Associate with like minded people as you. People that will add value to you and motivate you to achieve your set goals.
5. Master a formula and learn new ones. Organize information within your reach into small and absorbable bits that you can easily remember and apply. In the course of my studies I discovered that great success lie within the unpopular and too simple financial laws. Try and read '360 degrees of Academic Excellence'- A book that explain that Institutions certificates are not enough for success in life.

7. Manage well your time and the resources(human, material and financial) that are at your disposal. Successful entrepreneurs invest their time and money raer than spending them.
8. You need a role model. Look for a role model in your targeted business area and learn from them. Draw from their wealth of experience and adapt it to suit your purpose.
9. Choose a business that you are passionate about. Your passion will produce the needed energy that will propel you to stardom in your business pursuit.
10. You are responsible for whatever happen to your business. Since you're the owner of the business you don't even have anybody to shift the blame of it failure on.
11. You need a long standing commitment inorder for your business to thrive. In reality venturing into a business could be gnawing and discouraging. You need a daring spirit for you to succeed in business. Don't quit even if everything around you is telling you to quit. Judy Wardell Halliday said 'Dreams become reality when we keep our commitment to them.'
12. Persist until you succeed. 'Persistence is stubbornness with a purpose'- Rich De Voss
13. Belief in yourself and the products and services you're rendering.
14. Set big and realistic goals for yourself. Don't only be a positive thinker because your positive thinking can turn to positive wishes. Don't only think positively but act positively.
15. Risk taking is a necessity to succeed in business. You must be able to take risk with your personal and borrowed resources(money in particular). Risk taking is a necessity in entrepreneurship.
